Sports Betting?

Ok you know when betting on the money line say the line is like 110 and 100 right and I bet on the favorite and I bet a lot of money and the line changes like to 110 to 80 after I place my bet does that mean my payout will be less or stay the same? Don't you think the casinos are cheating that way?

The reason the line changes is to make sure that there is an equal amount of money on each side so that the losers money can pay the winners. The casino then gets the left over money.

  • Exactly once you place your bet the odds you placed it on stay the same.
  • Except for live races (horse racing, greyhounds, etc)When you place a bet on a horse and its odds are 10/1, that can change and it can become favorite, it is not that the race track is cheating, it is that more people are betting on that horse.
  • That is why you should check the live odds on sports before you place a bet, to see if the odds have changed.
